I love to photograph just anything especially when I am visiting unfamiliar places. I love to take pictures as much as I love to travel. It is also my first instinct every time I visit certain places to walk around and do a photowalk featuring most of the special spot that place has to offer. Walking with a bulky DSLR camera is a bit tiring and tedious because of the size and weight.
The good thing is that camera technology is fast evolving for digital photography. Several cameras nowadays are created with mirrorless sensor making them more compact and light but with the same capability of the bulky DSLR. One of them is the "Sony Alpha A5000"
Sony is not new in the technology business and they are actually the leading brand in terms of product quality. By purchasing Sony alpha A5000 you are not just buying the latest feature of the camera but you are also assured of getting a high quality product.
The camera is Sony's lightest and smallest with interchangeable lens to date. Included in its compact body is a 20MP APS-C image sensor and a convenient built-in flash. The LCD can tilt 180 degrees ideal for taking selfies and will surely help you in taking low angle shot without the need to crouch or lower you body flat into the ground to get the perfect worm eye view.
It can also focus fast, uses high range of ISO (100-160,000) for better digital noise handling. With maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 this camera is ideal for high speed photography. It has 20 effective mega pixels for high quality resolution and can record excellent HD video.
On top of these technical feature is the wifi capability of the Sony alpha A5000 for easier image transfer and editing or social media posting. With these, I can totally decide the Sony alpha a5000 is the best camera for travel photography. This camera cover all your photographic technical concern so all you need to do is find the best angle and press the shutter.

Force Perspective Photography
Photography has always
been my passion. I am always fan of shooting style that only requires
creativity not the one where you’ll be needing expensive gears. There’s lot of
style you can do using a cheap camera and creativity. Street,
Levitation, light painting and force perspective photography to name a few
Today
I will discuss about force perspective photography. There’s lot of tips in the
internet about this type of shooting. The appealing aspect of this photography
is that you don’t need specific type of viewers to appreciate your intent.
Force perspective is
a technique that employs optical illusion to make an object appear farther
away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is. It is used primarily in photography, filmmaking and architecture. This type of photography
does not require you to have a DSLR or some L series and primes lenses. You can
always do this using a cheap or old cellphone camera and some friends that is
willing to pose for you. You can even do this by yourself in some instances.
Almost everybody loves to be photograph so I am assuming having
friends to be your model is not that difficult. You can view some sample
of this type of photography Here
I
first encountered this type of photography when I was in college on a
tour in Mayon VolcanoOur tour guide/slash photographer make us posed as if
we were climbing the volcano. I do not have copy of that picture and during
that time I do not have any idea of the photographic style. The output of
this style looked easy but believe me. It is also tiresome and require lots of
patience. I had tried this many times but I find the sunset to be the easiest
subject especially during summer where the sun was round during sunset. Here’s
some of my take on this type of photography.
TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY
In Photography, the best camera is always the one you’re holding
when that decisive moment unfold. It doesn’t matter if it is a DSLR or a cheap
point and shoot camera what really count is the output. While it is true that
technology can really help you with digital photography it is also a given fact
that you need to spend a fortune if you want to have those latest camera with
better image handling and rendering capabilities at the press of the shutter.
If you can afford those latest gadget good for you, but if not I have some
simple tips to pump up your photography.
1.
Learn how to compose an image.
Composition
is the soul of an image. It is the process of arranging those element inside
the frame. It is like you’re drawing something and you’re using the pen to draw
or position the things inside your drawing. In photography you’re using the
camera as pen and instead of sketching your elements position in the frame you
move around to fine their best angle.
2.
Avoid overlapping subject/element inside the frame
It
is also part of the composition. You should arrange your element properly. It
is refer to as proper layering of subjects in photography. The norm if
you have more than three elements in different plane on your frame should be
foreground, mid-ground and background. Move to an angle where you’re foreground
is not overlapping with your mid-ground and so forth. With this technique you
are giving your viewers a clear path of viewing the elements in your image.

fore, mid and back |
3. Use figure to ground distinction
light subject, dark background |
Figure to ground is one of the most important concept in photography. There’s lot of explanation about it but I wanna keep mine short. It simply means if your subject is dark put him in a light background and vice versa. The purpose is to make your subject stand out and do not simply blends in the background.
My last tip is shoot more. You are using digital camera and not film so just keep pressing that shutter until you capture the perfect angle of the scene.
I hope you all like
this simple tips.. I hope you can apply all this tips in your photography.
Enjoy shooting!
Mobile Phone Photography
After long hiatus from writing to focus more on actual photography, here I am again trying to make sense on my scribe. Having English as second language, it is quite hard for me to come up with a clear article of photography instructions. So this early I am asking for your patience if you found some grammar inaccuracies in my articles. Rest assure that I am very much willing to address it and provide much detailed information in the comment section if you take notice of it by posting a comment.
Lets talk about Photography
Photography is the art and science of creating and processing image. It varies from film and digital process which is the most popular nowadays since the advent of smart phones with camera that has larger pixels capable of taking decent photographs.
The main element of photography is light, well, basically aside from you having a working camera capable of taking and recording photos. I wanna talk about the photography triangle and the understanding and usage of it in photography but I think I will save that on the deeper part of our photographic journey.
The main element of photography is light, well, basically aside from you having a working camera capable of taking and recording photos. I wanna talk about the photography triangle and the understanding and usage of it in photography but I think I will save that on the deeper part of our photographic journey.
Let’s keep this article simple by pretending that you have a phone with camera and you wanna take decent photos. Here are the things you need to do:
- Study the camera operation in your smart phone. Take note of different settings and its effect on the output.
- Make up your mind on the orientation of the image you want to take. Be it portrait (how you hold the phone in normal way) or landscape orientation. (Swinging the phone and holding it like it was a camera.
- Avoid taking tilted photos or photos with slanted horizon. Take note of that frame in the camera make it always at balance level.
- Talking about balance, be sure to frame the subject/element properly inside the frame. Avoid taking picture with a big negative space on one side. When you’re taking photos of people avoid cutting their body parts(especially arm) on one side if you still have more negative space on he other side of the frame.
- Be firm in holding you phone/camera in taking photos to avoid camera shake.
- Keep shooting.
